Milwaukee shortstop Orlando Arcia may have abruptly checked out in the third inning of the Brewers' series finale against the Chicago Cubs, but he still managed to turn a double play. Arcia arrived at the hospital Sunday just in time to see the birth of his twin daughters. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says Brewers manager Craig Counsell said after the game that "it happened pretty fast," but Arcia made it in time to be with his fiancée, Elena, for the birth of the twins. Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell has a nasal bruise and is under evaluation for concussion-like symptoms after being hit in the face by a pitch Sunday afternoon. Russell initially remained in the game after being attended to by the team's medical staff. Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell took a 94 mph fastball from Milwaukee pitcher Adrian Houser to the head Sunday in an 8-5 loss to the Brewers. The heater from Houser in the top of the third inning knocked Russell's batting helmet off and sent him to his knees.
