Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has a left foot bruise and his status is uncertain for Game 2 of the Western Conference playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Mitchell left Oklahoma City's 116-108 win Game 1 on Sunday after stubbing his toe in the third quarter, and he played sporadically the rest of the way. Continue to Article

On Saturday, Thunder forward Paul George told reporters about an alter-ego he calls "Playoff P." On Sunday, he gave the media, his teammates and the Utah Jazz a formal introduction. He scored 36 points to help Oklahoma City defeat Utah 116-108 in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series Sunday night. "I'm not going to wear a sweatshirt tomorrow though," Simmons dropped the mic with. The Jazz shared a photo of Mitchell on the final day of the NBA season wearing a red sweatshirt with "ROOKIE?" on it. Continue to Article

On Jan. 15, the Utah Jazz were 17-26, nine games under .500 and five games out of the playoffs, they were without injured big man Rudy Gobert, not to mention the Jazz were still trying to figure out their offense in the wake of Gordon Hayward’s summer departure. Since then the Jazz are 31-7, and their defense — anchored by likely Defensive Player of the Year Gobert — is allowing less than a point per possession. Utah will enter the playoffs as anywhere from the three to five seed and there is no team in the West thinking the Jazz would be an easy out. Continue to Article
