The good news is that they got a point, the bad news is that the Ottawa Senators ultimately lost yet again.  Los Angeles handed Ottawa its 10th loss in the span of 11 games.  At this point, Ottawa has the second worst record in the Eastern Conference at 9-11-7. It’s been quite the descent for Ottawa.  When the Senators acquired Matt Duchene, they weren’t doing great, but they had an okay 6-3-5 record.  That combined with the fact that the Senators managed to claw their way to the Eastern Conference Final last season gave them some hope that Duchene might help push the Senators over the edge.  Instead, Duchene’s been largely quiet so far – though he did contribute on Thursday – and Ottawa hasn’t looked like a playoff team.
