The way P.K. Subban sees it, he was due a little good fortune anyway. The star defenseman scored two strange goals, including one from center ice, and the Nashville Predators routed the skidding Vancouver Canucks 7-1 on Wednesday night. ''I can think of a couple times this year where (on) more of an honest play, pucks should have went in and they didn't,'' Subban said. Continue to Article

The Vegas Golden Knights have apologized for an ill-advised tweet made on Friday night in Nashville. The incident stems from a now-deleted tweet, which the Tennessean’s Adam Vingan captured here, that suggested that members of the Nashville Predators media contingent were cheering after the Predators scored a goal, a no-no in sports journalism and in journalism as a whole. Reilly Smith scored the only goal of a six-round shootout for the Golden Knights. Continue to Article

Torey Krug has been better as of late after finishing November as a point-per-game player with an even plus/minus rating, but his first-period difficulties vs. Nashville were impossible to ignore. Krug couldn't do enough to neutralize Craig Smith crashing for a juicy Anton Khudobin rebound in the opening minutes. Continue to Article

Alex Ovechkin scored his NHL-leading 20th goal and assisted on another, helping the Washington Capitals snap their recent run of futility against the San Jose Sharks with a 4-1 victory Monday night. The Capitals beat the Sharks for the fourth time in 18 meetings since Ovechkin entered the league in 2005-06. Halting the Sharks' recent mastery came at a cost: T.J. Oshie left in the second period with an upper-body injury and didn't return. Continue to Article
