The Giants saluted one of their essential players on the 2012 and '14 World Series teams before Sunday's game. Veteran starter Ryan Vogelsong—cut by the Twins this year in spring training—took the mound at AT&T Park in full uniform before the first inning against the Diamondbacks. Tyler Chatwood pitched into the sixth inning and drove in his first runs of the season, Nolan Arenado homered and the Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 6-1 on Friday night. The Colorado Rockies are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their National League pennant-winning team this weekend, and amid the festivities the team tweeted out a cool video featuring Todd Helton, Matt Holliday and the late Craig Sager. Those Rockies in 2007 had one of the great finishing runs in recent memory, coining “Rocktober” by finishing the regular season by winning 13 out of 14 just to force a one-game playoff for the Wild Card.
