While it’s clear that team owner Daniel Snyder has no interest in changing the name of the NFL franchise he owns, there are still many individuals who are bothered by that insensitive name. Count one Maryland primary school among them. Green Acres School, an independent school in Bethesda, Md. for children in preschool through eighth grade, posted a letter to families on its website this week asking that students no longer wear clothing bearing the Washington Redskins name or logo to school. One of the biggest storylines that played out during the Redskins' offseason was the departures of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garçon, two receivers who Kirk Cousins relied upon plenty in 2015 and 2016. And because of that, one of the biggest storylines heading into Washington's 2017 season is how the team will replace Jackson and Garçon. The talk of the Redskins’ preseason has been the glacially slow starts the offense has experienced. They went three and out their first two series against the Ravens.
