Tampa Bay Rays
Red Sox starter Drew Pomeranz has walked off the mound before the start of fourth inning in today’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays. It’s worth noting, however, that Pomeranz had the same issue in spring training, leaving a game with a tight triceps on March 19. It didn’t sideline him long, with him making his first regular season start on April 7. The Red Sox went on to lose it big, thanks to a seven-run inning by the Rays. Continue to Article

Cleveland Indians
Jason Kipnis batting at the top of the order seems like a good fit for the Cleveland Indians. Kipnis, hitting leadoff for the first time this season, was 4 for 5 with two homers and four RBIs, and the Indians woke up from an offensive slumber in an 8-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. Carlos Santana and Lonnie Chisenhall also homered for Cleveland, which had scored one run in 24 innings going into the game. Continue to Article

Cleveland Indians
CLEVELAND — The game between the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians was interrupted for several minutes when a squirrel ran on the field during the sixth inning. The squirrel raced in from right field and reached the area around the pitcher’s mound, forcing the umpires to halt play. The squirrel ran into foul ground and headed behind home plate, but quickly returned to fair territory. Twins manager Paul Molitor left the dugout to speak with plate umpire C.B. Bucknor and Twins pitcher Jose Berrios threw his arms up in frustration. Several members of the grounds crew chased the squirrel, which was cheered by the Progressive Field crowd, down the right field line before it finally hopped into Continue to Article

Cleveland Indians
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The survival trip has turned into the survival home stand. The Indians just finished a 4-5 trip through Detroit, Kansas City and Toronto. They won four of the nine games despite averaging fewer than three runs a game. Home cooking has not cured what ails manager Terry Francona's team. The Twins beat them, 1-0, on a three-hitter Friday. On Saturday, the Indians lost, 4-1, and once again were held to three hits. It's the first time they've been held to three or fewer hits in consecutive games by the same team since a doubleheader against Boston on April 12, 1992. The Indians won Game 1, 2-1, despite Boston's Matt Young throwing an eight-inning no-hitter. "It has not been the best Continue to Article
