NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) No goaltender has played better this postseason than Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators, though Jake Allen of the St. Louis Blues came closest in the first round. Now their teammates have to figure out how to score on these two stingy goalies if they want to advance to the Western Conference finals. “We have to try to solve Jake Allen and make life difficult for him,” Rinne said . Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher, who fired him just down the hall a little more than a year ago, stepped in to congratulate him on the 4-3 overtime victory . "It's a first-class group," Yeo said on Saturday, "and I'm sure that we'll be seeing more of each other down the road." Not for a while, though. Now the Blues will face Nashville. The first postseason matchup against his former team and Central Division rival couldn't have been better for Yeo, who maintained a home in Minnesota so his Continue to Article

Bruce Boudreau’s philosophy on the Stanley Cup Playoffs is that the best team usually wins each series. This might sound petulant, coming from a coach whose team was dispatched in the first round in five games after a 106-point season, going from 3.31 goals per game in the regular season to 1.60 against the Blues. “Seriously?” Boudreau answered, dumbfounded, when asked about the offensive struggles.
