The New York Knicks return to Madison Square Garden to face the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday having lost three of their four road games, falling to a season-worst 15 games under.500 at 26-41. The Pacers (34-32), in sixth place in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, have held their opponents under 100 points in seven of their nine games since the All-Star break after Sunday's 102-98 win over the Miami Heat. The Portland Trail Blazers (29-36) are in a final sprint for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, having won five of their last six games, with their only loss in that span the result of an official's blown non-call in the final seconds. The New Orleans Pelicans (26-40), who can't seem to get All-Stars DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis playing well together at the same time, are in 12th place in the West and, in all probability, will treat their remaining 16 games of the season as early training camp for next year.
