The Sacramento Kings took just enough encouragement from a win on the final day of a long road trip to provide comfort that their season may begin to turn around now that they get to hang out at home for a while. The Pelicans, fresh off their seventh consecutive loss to start the season, roll into Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night. Nov 7 (The Sports Xchange) - The New Orleans Pelicans waived injured guard Lance Stephenson and signed guard Archie Goodwin, the team announced Monday. Stephenson will undergo surgery to repair a groin injury and is expected to be sidelined approximately two months. - - The Sacramento Kings waived guard Jordan Farmar, the team announced. Bartelstein said Stephenson will have surgery to repair his torn groin in Philadelphia on Tuesday and likely will remain there for at least the first couple of weeks of a rehabilitation period that is estimated to last about two months. The Pelicans also have invited the 6-foot-5 Stephenson to conduct rehab at the club's New Orleans-area headquarters if he wishes to do so.
