Oregon defensive lineman Eddie Heard has been suspended indefinitely following a Wednesday arrest. According to a summary of the case provided by UO police, Heard’s arrest came one day after a woman reported that early on Oct. 30 — hours after Oregon’s 54-35 home win against Arizona State — Heard had “repeatedly touched her” inside Taylor’s Bar and Grill. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Heard has been a reserve since arriving at Oregon as a junior college transfer in 2014. Continue to Article

The Oregon Ducks have suspended linebacker Eddie Heard indefinitely following his arrest on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges. The University of Oregon Police Department said in a release that Heard punched a woman in the face outside of a Eugene bar early Sunday morning. Heard, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound reserve, has appeared in all eight games for the Ducks this season. Continue to Article

Tom Nickoloff, a receiver who played on Southern California's 10-1 team that beat Wisconsin in the 1953 Rose Bowl, has died. The university said Wednesday that Nickoloff died on Oct. 23 of complications from Alzheimer's disease in Woodland Hills. Nickoloff was captain of the 1953 USC football team that defeated the Badgers 7-0 in the Rose Bowl game. Continue to Article
