Highlights of Saturday's National Hockey League games: Stars 4, Capitals 3 Center Tyler Seguin scored two goals and goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped 20-of-23 shots as the Dallas Stars ended Washington's five-game winning streak with a 4-3 victory over the Capitals at American Airlines Center on Saturday. Left winger and captain Alex Ovechkin, right winger Justin Williams and left winger Andre Burakovsky scored for Washington (40-10-4), who trailed 4-0 after two periods before scoring three unanswered goals in the third to make things interesting. Philadelphia Flyers
The New York Rangers don't lose often at Madison Square Garden, but one slipped away this weekend. The same applies to home games against the Philadelphia Flyers, though a lengthy streak came to a close earlier this season. The Rangers look to get back on track at MSG when the Flyers visit Sunday night for the fifth and final regular-season meeting between the Metropolitan Division rivals. Continue to Article

New Jersey Devils
One name that's not appearing often enough in the Calder Trophy discussion: Shayne Gostisbehere. Probably because his last name really hard to spell.  He's a defenseman playing on the Philadelphia Flyers who was called up nearly a month and a half into the NHL season. In a mere 36 games played, he's put up 30 points (10-20=30).  He scored point No. 30 on Saturday against the New Jersey Devils. Not only did it tie the game for Philly, the point set a rookie defenseman scoring record. The goal marked the 11-straight game the one the fans call "Ghost Bear" has registered a point. According to NHL PR , Barry Beck was the previous record holder with two separate 10-game point streaks in the 1977-78 season for the Colorado Rockies. With his goal, Ghost Bear (a.k.a. 👻🐻) ties Sean Couturier for fourth on the team in scoring, and his 30 points is best among Flyers defenseman. One person none too impressed with Gostisbehere's record is Lee Stempniak. Not too long after the rookie scored his goal, the Devils forward gave the kid, to put it nicely, a cup check. Stempniak sticks Gostisbehere in the midsection (left briefly, back on the bench) #hockey #NJDvsPHI https://t.co/AFbGnEoLY0 — Chris Beardy (@Chris_Beardy) February 13, 2016  The Department of Player Safety might have something to say to Stempniak about that. Gostisbehere made it over to the bench and shook it off to finish the game. Alas, the Devils ended up getting the better result. Adam Henrique scored a power play goal in overtime to beat the Flyers. - - - - - - - Jen Neale is an editor for Puck Daddy on Yahoo Sports. Have a tip? Philadelphia Flyers
Sean Couturier's injury put Philadelphia general manager Ron Hextall in an interesting position with the trade deadline approaching and a tight Eastern Conference wild-card race unfolding. Adding another asset might become futile, though, if the Flyers don't start winning without their young center. Philadelphia looks to avoid a fourth straight defeat Thursday night when it hosts a Buffalo Sabres team also suffering through a three-game skid and injury concerns of its own. Continue to Article

Highlights of Monday's National Hockey League games: Penguins 6, Ducks 2 Sidney Crosby had two goals and two assists for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who snuffed the six-game winning streak of the Anaheim Ducks. The Penguins won their fifth home game in a row and improved to 7-1-0 in their past eight home games against Anaheim. Crosby's goals came on breakaways, including a third-period goal he scored while he was falling with the Ducks' Cam Fowler chasing and poking at him. Continue to Article
