Bill Self admitted he was about as excited as he's been in his 13 years at Kansas after this weekend's huge win over one of the Big 12's top contenders. The sixth-ranked Jayhawks look to keep rolling and avenge their only loss against a non-ranked team when Oklahoma State visits Monday night. Kansas (21-4, 9-3) is riding the high of Saturday's 76-72 win at No. 3 Oklahoma, its second over the Sooners in what has been a heavyweight league matchup this season. Continue to Article

Kansas
Five weeks after their epic triple-overtime thriller with the No. 1 ranking on the line, Oklahoma and Kansas met again with plenty at stake.  The sequel wasn't a Godfather II-esque classic but it was far from a Caddyshack II-esque dud too. Devonte Graham scored 27 points and played relentless defense on Oklahoma's Buddy Hield on Saturday to lead Kansas to a 76-72 victory. The sophomore guard also had the two biggest shots of the game after it appeared Oklahoma was in position to take control. With Kansas trailing by three after a momentum-changing four-point play by Oklahoma's Jordan Woodard, Graham answered with a game-tying top-of-the-key 3-pointer with just over three minutes to play. Graham struck again two possessions later, burying another 3-pointer to give Kansas the lead for good.  Oklahoma had a chance to tie on its final two possessions, but neither Hield nor fellow guard Isaiah Cousins could come through in the clutch. First the national player of the year candidate had the second of two foul shots rim out with 25.3 seconds to go, leaving his team still trailing by a point. Then Cousins missed a three on the Sooners' ensuing possession after two free throws by Graham extended the Kansas lead to three. Kansas' victory is a huge step toward the Jayhawks capturing at least a share of the Big 12 title for a remarkable 12th straight season. With six games left in the regular season, the Jayhawks are now tied for first place with West Virginia and a full game clear of the Sooners. - - - - - - - Jeff Eisenberg is the editor of The Dagger on Yahoo Sports. Kansas
Slaying the sportsbook is a monstrous task. Some days bettors take up residence in a penthouse suite. Other times, they curl up in the nearest ditch, shirtless and toothless. In an attempt to avoid complete destitution, I will post my picks, whether profitable or penniless, through the NCAA tourney. Check out Saturday's selections below (FYI, we're off Sunday):  Kansas (20-4, 13-8 ATS) at Oklahoma (20-3, 10-11)  – The last time these Big 12 behemoths faced, Buddy Hield dropped 46, three overtimes were barely enough to decide the contest and no participant left the floor a loser. A classic in Lawrence, it was arguably the game of this century.  Point blank, the Sooners and Jayhawks are evenly matched. Both light it up from three. Both rank inside the top-30 in offensive and defensive efficiency. Both showcase experienced players. Both have limited frontcourt depth. They're practically mirror images of one another.  The keys to this game are twofold: 1) OU's predictably electric home crowd and 2) Isaiah Cousins. In the first matchup, the senior guard couldn't throw a ping pong ball through a hula hoop. A dreadful 2-for-14 from the field, he was essentially a non-factor. If Cousins brings his 'A' game and Hield and Woodard crack 50 points combined, an achievable bar, Oklahoma will exact its revenge, possibly by a substantial margin. If not, and whoever holds the ball last will inevitably prevail. Bet on the former.  Prediction: Oklahoma (-4) 84 Kansas 77  Continue to Article
