Calgary Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman has been suspended 20 games for cross-checking a linesman, the NHL announced Wednesday. The league said Wideman's suspension without pay was for "conduct violative of Rule 40 (Physical Abuse of Officials)" during last Wednesday's game against the Nashville Predators. Wideman has said he cross-checked linesman Don Henderson unintentionally in a woozy scramble to get back to the team's bench at 11:19 of the second period. Continue to Article
